Stepping Into Purpose: My Interim CEO Role at The BrandLab
It wasn’t an easy decision to step into this role, but it was the right one.
After more than 11 years of being deeply involved with The BrandLab, I’m honored to share that I’ve accepted the role of Interim CEO. This organization holds a special place in my heart, and at this pivotal moment, I want to help ensure its continued strength and sustainability.
Taking on this role means I’ll be pausing my work with Williams Brand Consulting for now. I fully intend to return to that work in the future, but today, I’m stepping more fully into what I believe is my purpose: to make a path for the next generation.
I’ve supported The BrandLab in many ways over the years, from teaching in Edison High School classrooms and supervising summer interns to building community partnerships and helping shape our long-term strategic plan. These experiences have all led to this moment.
As Interim CEO, I’ll be focused on:
- Creating a solid foundation and strategy for the future
- Supporting the internal team, partners, and board through a time of transition
- Helping recruit, hire, and onboard the organization’s long-term leader
This is a nine-month commitment, but the impact we make during this time will ripple far beyond that.
The BrandLab is on solid ground. The team continues to do powerful, meaningful work to change the face and voice of the marketing and advertising industry. I’m proud to support that mission today and always.
Sometimes, when we are clear on our purpose, the right opportunities find us.
This is one of those moments.
